Head Wound

You don armor
Take up arms against your brothers,
You target, sisters, daughters and mothers.
Pepper spray and tear gas women and children,
Smile while pointing shot guns at the crowd,
A figure drops... you carry on.

You toss flash grenades into a group of friends,
Coming to the aid of fallen men,
Only cowards stoop to depth so low,
There's no excuse for this behavior.

Big men in black, the riot cop,
Not here for you, protecting status quo,
Have wounded all when wounding only one,
We will not leave for this has just begun.
This is a collective head wound.
WE are the 99.

Occupy

Occupy Wall Street,
Occupy Rome,
Occupy Bay Street,
Call it your own.

Occupy Ottawa,
Occupy France,
Occupy Washington,
Call it a dance.

Occupy London,
Occupy Greece,
Occupy hearts,
Call for peace.

Occupy London,
Vancouver, Berlin,
Occupy souls,
Let healing begin.

Occupy Amsterdam,
Occupy Spain,
Occupy Palestine,
Banish the pain.

Occupy Israel,
Moscow and Minsk,
Occupy Mecca,
Medina, Me thinks

Occupy temples,
Occupy courts,
Occupy prisons,
Don't forget forts.

Occupy churches,
Occupy banks,
Occupy squares,
Don't forget to give thanks.

Occupy peacefully,
Occupy proud,
Occupy quietly
OCCUPY LOUD !

Occupy Oakland,
Occupy streets,
Occupy Denver,
This hypocisy reeks,

Occupy until,
Our message gets through,
We the people,
Will decide what to do.

Bull

I am not a gifted poet
Just a spewer of the word,
If it forms a poem so be it,
It's irrelevant; absurd.
I am not a pretense prophet,
I just comment and observe,
Now and then as luck would have it
We get back what we deserve
I am not a saint, or seer,
Not a sentimental sage,
I am just another seeker
Turning yet another page.
This is just a ball of fire,
Covered by a coat of mud,
We are just a bunch of carbon,
Floating in a sea of blood
Do not think what we do matters,
Earth will turn when we are gone,
We are just a tenant renting,
Eviction notice pending dawn
Heed these words, they are no deeper,
Than a babies unheard cry,
If we aren’t our brother’s keeper,
Truth be told, we live a lie.
This is just more bull I’m shitting,
No need to listen, nothing new,
What’s the diff I am only spitting,
Words and phrases over you.
Take or leave these words of wisdom,
For they are not wise at all,
We create with pride a prison,
Into which we all will fall.

The Sea

The sky is orange as Halloween,
The waves are crashing in,
Clouds, suspiciously absent, again,
As the wind begins to sing,
There's a calm to nature's fury, somehow,
As tension seems to cease,
And memories rush by rapidly,
As if I am at peace,
There's a light that flickers in the dusk,
A greeting for the night,
And though my mind is full of doubt,
Somehow, it seems all right,
There's a stormy, welcome, silence there,
Where land is met by sea,
And when the restlessness sets in,
It's where I choose to be.
