Oh Canada Too

Do you remember, remember Oh Canada?
Do you remember what the lyrics say?
Do you see the country you grew up in?
Slowly slipping, slowly slipping away.

Are you sleeping on the job, Oh Canada?
Are you listening to your heart and soul?
Are you watching as your freedom is stolen?
Get a grip we are losing control.

What a shame, all this fraud, Oh Canada,
What a shame all this greed and fear,
What a shame, I don't know you Canada.
Oh, Canada, I miss you dear.

Do you remember the country, Canada?
Don't hardly recognize it now it seems,
Seems when you and I were not looking,
Someone took it, and all of our dreams.

Do you remember, remember Oh Canada,
Time to sing it out loud and clear.
Time to stand up and be counted,
For these tyrants don't seem to hear.

Helen

She smiled with her top teeth only,
Left the bottom plate in the glass
Beside her bed,
Because they hurt.
She walked beside the pain,
As if it wasn’t there,
Chest out,
Head held high,
She lay in bed,
And read, and read, and read
   Some more,
Escaping into better worlds,
She could only dream of,
For she was prisoner of disease.
She did what she was told,
   And so she rests,
Like a dove before a flight.
She did her best
With what she had,
And looking back
She was a saint,
Cut from a diamond...
Helen.
