It's a Laugh

It's a laugh,
That brings a smile back,
A frown that brings a tear,
It's a cry,
That drains the pain away,
And love that calms the fear,
It's a hug,
That warms a winter day,
A wink that says you know,
A nod that says, it's O.K.,
All in the care you show,
It's an up,
And sometime downward ride,
And we all need a hand,
It isn't just how hard you fall,
It's how soft you land,
And as the coaster hits the top,
And all you feel is fear,
You'll know that you are not alone,
From all the screams you hear,
So when a friend's about to fall,
And is feeling down,
Remember what a laugh will do,
To relieve a frown,
It's a laugh,
This thing, we call life,
Just stop and think a bit,
You have to laugh about it all,
Or else you'll lose your wits,
It's a laugh,
That brings a smile back,
A frown that brings a tear,
A cry that drains the pain away,
And love, that calms the fear.
