Tangents

It's a lie, this thing called heaven
We're fodder for the bugs,
But there's twister game at seven,
If you can cut a rug,
There's a "sin" that's worth avoiding,
And one you can't resist,
Another worth destroying,
As if it were a cyst,
There's a nose that grows,
As lies persist,
And a rose that makes you sneeze,
So watch out, you Pinocchio,
For lying's a disease,
There's a game you play,
Because you can, for fun,
Win or lose,
And another played within your mind,
Deciding what to choose,
There's another ship,
That's coming in,
If you can make it float,
But it might just take on water,
So hold on to your hope,
There's a time that ticks for everyone,
And one that ticks for you,
And it's all your own,
The choice is yours,
Depends on what you do,
There's a space that's there,
For you to claim,
So grab and don't let go,
'Cause it's a place we all have been,
And where we all must go,
There's an argument,
About nothing at all,
That's got you burning up,
And the making up is there for you,
If you would just wake up,
There's a distance traveled,
By all of us, Before we reach the light,
So best of luck as you navigate,
This ocean of wrong and right,
There's a song that seems to write itself,
And poem that comes from pain,
And a book that opens to a page,
As if it had a brain,
There's a wisdom wanting ownership,
Drifting on the tide,
And it seems to be just out of reach,
Hidden in the pride,
There's an ignorance,
Prevails like flies,
On your political pile of scat
It squirms like larva on a carcass,
Worn proudly on a hat
There's a tear we cry in happiness,
And one we cry in sorrow,
One we cry for yesterdays,
And one cried for tomorrow,
And wisdom spreads on wind blown seed,
So as you shoot the breeze,
Let knowledge be the fruit you sew,
So ignorance concedes,
And hold your breath so you don't drown,
In all of the despair,
And hope to "God" that all is well,
When you come up for air,
In conclusion,
There's a bunch of stuff,
Just spinning around in space,
And that's about it,
That's about all,
I'm no longer,
In your face.
