Act Your Age

Act your age,
It’s only a number,
Where have you been,
Goin’ down, goin’ under,
What have you done,
Or can’t you remember,
Have you locked it away,
You pathetic pretender.

Well it’s not who you know,
In this rotten old world,
It’s who you blow,
And so swallow,
Don’t spit out, your pride.

Act your age,
Whatever that means,
For in this rotten old world,
It’s not who you know,
It seems,
So as time is fleeting,
Don’t beat yourself up,
Just keep repeating,
Never give up,
And never give up on your dream.

‘Cause it’s not who you know,
In this rotten old world,
It’s who you blow,
And so swallow,
Don’t spit out, your pride.
