Can’t Break Through

We build up walls,
Made of fear,
Made of pain,
Made of tears.
A mountain top,
Out of reach,
  The air is full,
Of what we preach.
But we can’t break through,
This barrier,

Cycles repeat,
People dying,
In the street,
Innocence,
Turned to bloody meat,
Terror flying,

Up the heat,
But we cant break through,
The point is missed,
The world is pissed,
It shakes it’s fist,

Though plain as day,
There’s another way,
Than this.
With love we push
Away this hatred,
Yet cant break through
The stubborn gate of hell,
Afraid to tell the truth.
Fear this change
Just will not come,
We are deaf, dumb,
To war, numb,
We cant break through,
Until we learn how to love.
