Love hides,
Within the shadows,
Behind the veils of hate,
Love is lost,
And disillusioned,
And often shows up late,
Love's as lazy,
As a mother cat,
Nursing a new a litter,
And shows up like a blister,
After hate has pulled the trigger,
Love is complacent,
And believing,
Taking trust for granted,
And quite often has it's eyes shut,
When the seeds of hate,
Are planted,
Love's elusive,
As a greasy pig,
And twice as indecisive,
While hatred thrives in fear and doubt,
Confident, divisive.
Love is ever searching,
But never seems to find,
The cure for hate and ignorance,
We always leave behind.
Love and hate,
Will have to wait,
They'll never come together,
For they're afraid of difference,
Opposites, forever.
