Time is Money

You dream of money,
All the time,
While it's time, that fades away,
And as time drains the wisdom,
Of every last soul,
We all just live for today,
And the future is bleak,
If the past is a mirror,
Of what we all can expect,
For if time stores the wisdom,
And we choose to ignore it,
Our guilt is the crime of neglect,
But if we quit dreams of self,
And think of another,
And dream of a future passed,
We'll live for tomorrow,
Respect yesterday,
And stop going nowhere so fast,
For time is the money,
Everyone spends,
In this land of have and have not,
So if you've got the time,
Let's raise some money,
And spend it on what we forgot,
For it's quarter to eleven,
And time's running out,
On our hour of wants and needs,
So you make the choice, individually,
For we all must live with our deeds,
So what will it be,
The greed or the giving,
It's all on the menu we swallow,
And soup of the day,
Will be hope or decay,
Depending on recipe followed.
